# Updating Notification Preferences

Railnology sends automated notifications for key compliance events. You can control which notifications you receive from the Settings tab in your account.

### Accessing Notification Preferences

1. Open your account by clicking your profile in the top right corner.
2. Navigate to the **Settings** tab.
3. The **Notification Preferences** section appears at the top of the page.

### Available Notifications

| Notification                    | What It Does                                                                        | Default |
| ------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------- |
| **HoS Limit Alerts**            | Notifies you when approaching or exceeding the 12-hour duty limit under 49 CFR §228 | On      |
| **Credential Expiry Reminders** | Notifies you 30 days before any certification expires                               | On      |
| **Safety Briefing Reminders**   | Notifies you when a scheduled trip has no pre-trip briefing on file                 | On      |
| **Weekly Compliance Summary**   | Sends an automated weekly summary of your compliance activity                       | Off     |

Toggle each notification on or off using the switch on the right side of each row.
