# Adding a DSLE Record

DSLE records are managed in the **DSLE** tab of any certification program.

## Steps

1. Go to **Compliance → RegIntel → Certification Programs**
2. Select any program (DSLE records are organization-wide)
3. Click the **DSLE** tab
4. Click **+ Add DSLE**
5. Fill in the required fields:
   * **Crew Member** — select the engineer being designated (required)
   * **Designated Date** — the date of official designation (required)
   * **Territories** — enter the territories this DSLE covers, separated by commas
   * **Initial Training Date** — date initial Part 240 training was completed
   * **Training Hours** — hours of initial training (minimum 2.0 required)
   * **Exam Date** — date the written examination was completed
   * **Exam Score** — score achieved (minimum 90% required)
   * **Engineer Assignments** — select the engineers this DSLE supervises
6. Click **Save**

The DSLE appears in the roster table with territory trip and refresher due dates calculated automatically. Dates within 30 days show in amber. Overdue dates show in red.
