# Managing Compliance Actions

When a non-negative, refusal, or violation result is logged, Railnology tracks the required compliance actions for that crew member.

## Compliance Action Types

| Action              | Triggered By                                                     |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Immediate Removal   | Non-negative, refusal, or adulterated result                     |
| SAP Referral        | Required after removal — Substance Abuse Professional evaluation |
| Return-to-Duty Test | Required before reinstating removed crew member                  |
| Follow-Up Testing   | Ongoing random testing required after return to duty             |

## Managing Actions

1. Navigate to **RegIntel → D\&A Testing**
2. Locate the result record with a compliance action flag
3. Click the record to expand compliance action details
4. Update each action status as it is completed:
   * Removal date confirmed
   * SAP referral issued
   * Return-to-duty test passed
   * Follow-up schedule established

## Notes

* Removal Required count appears in the stats card header in red when greater than zero
* Compliance actions are logged with timestamps for audit purposes
* All action updates are attributed to the administrator who made them
