# Joining an Organization

Most Railnology features for railroad operations are unlocked through an organization. You can join an organization by accepting an invitation or by requesting access directly.

### Accepting an Invitation

When an Org Admin invites you, you receive an email from <noreply@railnology.com> with an invitation link.

1. Click the link in the invitation email.
2. If you do not have a Railnology account, you are prompted to create one first.
3. If you already have an account, sign in and confirm acceptance.

Your account is linked to the organization immediately with the role assigned by the Admin.

### Requesting Access

If you know your organization is on Railnology but have not received an invitation:

1. Sign in to your Railnology account.
2. Navigate to your **Account → Organizations** tab.
3. Search for your organization by name.
4. Submit a join request.

Your request appears in the Org Admin's dashboard for review. You will be notified when it is approved.

> **Note:** You can be a member of more than one organization. Use the context switcher to move between organizations.
