# Switching Between Organizations

If you are a member of more than one organization, you can switch between them using the context switcher. Each organization has its own knowledge base, compliance records, and crew data — your active context determines which data Raillie accesses and which records are shown.

### Switching Context

1. Click your profile avatar in the top right corner.
2. On the **Profile** tab, locate the context switcher showing your current active organization.
3. Click the organization you want to switch to, or select **Independent** to operate outside any organizational context.

Your context updates immediately. Raillie will draw from the selected organization's knowledge base on your next query.

### Independent Context

Selecting **Independent** removes your organizational context. In this mode, Raillie searches only the global regulatory library — not any organization's private knowledge base.

> **Note:** Your context preference is saved between sessions. When you sign back in, Railnology restores your last active context automatically.
