# Understanding RegIntel

RegIntel is Railnology's compliance dashboard. Access it from the left navigation under **Compliance → RegIntel**. It consolidates all regulatory operations, safety management, reporting, and training analytics in one place.

### Regulatory Operations

The top tab group covers day-to-day operational compliance:

| Tab                | What It Covers                                           |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| FRA Records        | Compliance records, audit reports, and eligibility log   |
| Safety Briefings   | Safety communication records                             |
| HoS                | Hours of Service compliance view across the organization |
| Crew Status        | Real-time crew compliance posture                        |
| Speed Restrictions | Active slow orders and speed restriction records         |
| D\&A Testing       | Drug and alcohol test results and compliance actions     |

### Safety Management

### Compliance Records Section

Below the tab groups, the Compliance Records section provides a real-time snapshot of your organization's regulatory posture:

* **Audit Reports** — FRA Audit Simulation reports with attention flags for items requiring action
* **HOS Records on File** — count of HoS records within the 183-day retention window required by 49 CFR §228.19
* **Certification Status** — count of expired and expiring Part 240/242 certifications
* **Active Penalty Exposure** — current regulatory penalty exposure under 49 CFR Part 228

Use the **FRA Audit Simulation** button to generate a new audit readiness report at any time.
