# Understanding the Today Page

The Today page is your Ops Command Center — the first thing you see when you open Railnology. It gives you a real-time snapshot of your railroad's operational status for the current day.

### Status Bar

Four summary tiles appear at the top of the page:

| Tile | What It Shows |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| Available | Crew members currently available for duty |
| Active | Crew members currently on duty |
| Awaiting | Crew members with pending trip acknowledgments |
| HoS Alerts | Crew members approaching or over HoS limits |

Tiles with non-zero values highlight to draw your attention.

### HoS Approach Warning

If any crew member is approaching their Hours of Service limit, a yellow warning banner appears below the status bar identifying the crew member and their remaining available time.

### My Hours of Service

The My Hours of Service widget shows your personal HoS clock. Click **Clock In** to begin a duty period, or **Clock Out** to end one. Your current HoS status, remaining time, and rest requirements are updated in real time.

Navigate to RegIntel → HoS for full Hours of Service detail, history, and FRA Form 6180.3 reporting.

### Crew Snapshot

The Crew Snapshot panel shows a summary of your entire roster's current status:

* **Available** — crew ready for assignment
* **On Duty** — crew currently working
* **Approaching** — crew within 2 hours of their HoS limit
* **Rest / Over** — crew in mandatory rest or over limit

### Quick Actions

The Quick Actions panel provides one-tap access to the three most common workflows:

* **Ask Raillie** — open the Raillie AI assistant for crew availability questions, HoS rules, and trip planning help
* **TripIntel** — go directly to trip scheduling and pending acknowledgments
* **RegIntel** — go directly to compliance records, audits, and regulatory posture
