# Running an FRA Audit Simulation

The FRA Audit Simulation runs a check of your organization's current compliance posture against FRA recordkeeping requirements. It is not a substitute for an actual FRA audit but helps you identify gaps before an inspection.

### What It Checks

The simulation verifies your organization against five FRA recordkeeping requirements:

* HoS records retained for 183 days (49 CFR §228.19)
* Duty and rest periods documented per employee
* Engineer certifications on file (49 CFR Part 240)
* Conductor certifications on file (49 CFR Part 242)
* Records available for FRA inspection

### Running the Simulation

1. Navigate to **Org Admin** in the left sidebar.
2. Click the **FRA Records** tab.
3. Click **FRA Audit Simulation**.
4. Review the results in the Recent Activity feed.

Results are flagged with an **Attention** badge where gaps are identified. Each result includes the date and time of the simulation run.
