# Creating Your RailID Profile

1. Navigate to **RailID** in the left sidebar under **COMPLIANCE**
2. If you have not created a profile yet, click **Create My RailID Profile**
3. Railnology generates a unique RailID number (format: RID-YYYY-NNNNN)
4. Your display name is pre-filled from your account

## Editing Your Profile

Click the **pencil icon** in the Profile tab to edit:

* Display Name
* Headline (e.g. FRA-Certified Locomotive Engineer)
* Location (City, State)
* Bio

Click **Save Profile** to apply changes. Your RailID strength score updates automatically after each save.

## LinkedIn Import

The Profile tab includes a **LinkedIn Connect** button. Connecting your LinkedIn account imports your headline and work history automatically.
