# Privacy Controls

Click the **Privacy** tab to manage who can see your RailID record.

## Privacy Settings

| Setting                | What It Controls                                             |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Profile Visible        | Allows your RailID to appear in railroad searches            |
| Allow Railroad Lookups | FRA-licensed railroads can request to view your credentials  |
| Notify on Lookup       | You receive a notification when a railroad views your record |

All three settings default to **on** when your profile is created. Toggle any setting at any time — changes save immediately.

## Drug & Alcohol Status

Drug and alcohol compliance status is **never shared by default**. Opt-in is managed separately and requires your explicit consent each time a railroad requests this information.
