# Raillie's Compliance Disclaimer and Limitations

Every Raillie response is accompanied by the following disclaimer:

*"Raillie is a compliance aid — verify all answers against official regulatory sources before acting on them."*

### What This Means in Practice

Raillie is highly capable, but it operates within defined limitations:

* **Raillie can make errors.** AI-generated responses may misinterpret regulatory language, miss relevant provisions, or reflect outdated information if the knowledge base has not been updated.
* **Raillie is not legal counsel.** Raillie's answers do not constitute legal advice and should not be treated as a substitute for qualified regulatory or legal guidance.
* **Raillie does not know your railroad's specific conditions.** Unless your organization has uploaded its own documents to the Private Knowledge Base, Raillie does not have access to your railroad's specific operating rules, special instructions, or approved deviations.
* **Regulatory text controls.** When there is any conflict between a Raillie response and the official CFR text, the CFR controls.

### Regulated Operations

For decisions that affect regulated operations — including Hours of Service compliance, engineer and conductor certification, and FRA-reportable events — always verify Raillie's guidance against the applicable CFR section and your railroad's FRA-approved procedures before acting.
